It is no secret that non-traditional wedding styles are not just a trend, but something thriving and here to stay. But the reason why this style is taking over the spotlight is that it embodies the perfect idea of doing things your own way, creatively, and being laid back while also unapologetically stylish! It already sounds like a mouthful, but that’s the beauty of it. This style comes with a true wealth of aesthetic expressions, and its allure has touched many celebrities who took the road less traveled. And now, bonded by our love for unconventional ideas, it is time to embrace these celeb weddings and share what inspired us and of course, give you ideas!

1. Erica Pelosini and Louis Leeman Wedding

Erica Pelosini is a model, producer and fashion editor known for her incredible style. The beauty met the famous Dutch shoe designer Louis Leeman in her hometown, Florence. After nine years of enjoying each other’s romance, they tied the knot on the breathtaking Italian island of Capri.

Since the beginning, Erica knew what she wanted – a blend of the quintessence of Capri with a bohemian and whimsical touch to reflect her unique personality and lifestyle. Capri created the perfect backdrop for this celebrity dream wedding, located on the outskirts of Italy's Tyrrhenian Sea. So, Florence’s fashion icon ensured her guests felt this mystical island's magical beauty while channeling her one-of-a-kind wedding style. All the fashion stars from around the world united here to witness the most beautiful and romantic ceremony in the history of Italy! Some prominent names were Daniele Cavalli, Cameron Silver, Magdalena Frackowiak, Mary Katrantzou, Olivia Palermo, Brian Atwood, and Alberto Oliveros.

Pelosini opted for a gorgeous bridal dress designed by her friend Peter Dundas of Pucci in Florence. Peter curated the dress that represented a bohemian and rock-and-roll flair to match Erica’s enchanting personality. In fact, the whole design started with lace and sleeves, but soon after, the designer decided that she needed something edgier to match her personality! Naturally, Erica trusted and shared his vision, and voila! The dress turned out to be truly stunning. It was embellished with daisies, which give us those perfect carefree hippie yet absolutely stylish feels. Florence’s fashion sweetheart has impeccable taste that surely made all the heads turn when she walked down the aisle. She wore stunning lace-up pumps by Aquazzura's Edgardo Osorio to complement her one-of-a-kind look. We love the little details like the tiny tassels above her ankles, utterly bohemian and charming!

This whimsical celebrity wedding on the coastline is definitely worth your consideration if you are looking for some amazing inspiration for your big day. Oh, and if you are looking for the best bohemian bridesmaid dress inspiration, you need only look at her beautiful squad. The girls wore tiered Pucci gowns in sea blue, also designed by Peter Dundas. How very Capri!

Erica walked down the aisle with a piano rendition of her favorite Rolling Stones playing in the background. The scene looked so dreamy romantic, and enchanting. The stylish duo exchanged their vows in the presence of their loved ones. The whole affair was curated by Sugokuii Events and documented by the photographers Jake Rosenberg and Andrea Salvia, while Marco Caputo Films cinematically captured this outstanding celebration.

2. Kate Moss and Jamie Hince Wedding

Kate Moss, the famous English model and fashion designer, tied the knot with Jamie Hince (The Kills guitarist) at St Peter’s Church in Southcorp, Gloucestershire, England. The couple was initially set up by mutual friends in 2007 and engaged in 2011. Later that year, they got married by hosting a beautiful bohemian countryside wedding. And Jude Law, Alison Mosshart, Sadie Frost, Jefferson Hack, and James Brown are just some of the grand names that attended their love celebration!

The world’s biggest supermodel made a striking statement on her special day by opting for an elegantly embellished bohemian Galliano wedding gown. The design was spectacular, a vintage-inspired sleeveless ivory dress embellished with gold sequins and intricate embroidery! The bridal outfit resonated with Kate’s personality – perfectly stylish, relaxed, and gorgeously bohemian with a touch of translucent glam. It was paired with custom-made pair of Manolo Blahnik’s strappy Godichefac sandals. They were designed in white leather and customized with crystals and blue insoles. But because her long bohemian gown kept getting caught in the crystals, the shoes were later modified without them. She showed up in St. Peter’s Church in a silver Rolls Royce, wearing a beautiful delicate (also vintage-inspired) veil.

Perhaps the most unconventional and truly impressive thing about this celebration was the fact that Kate had four dress changes for her big day. Galliano designed her main ceremony look, while Stella McCartney beautifully curated all the other three looks:

  • For the First Dance, Kate wore a lux oyster chiffon dress with a stylish cut-out back.

  • For the reception, the bride opted for a stunning mini body-con dress adorned with beaded embroidery and a plunging back.

  • Finally, at the end of the day, Kate left with her beau in a stylish three-piece wool suit that looked exquisite.

Kate’s outfit details have set the stage for glamorous and bohemian brides who wish to leave an ever-lasting impression on their guests! She also had 15 bridesmaids, among which was her daughter Lila Grace. The bridesmaids featured white chiffon dresses with a bohemian gypsy-style design around the neckline and adorable ballet pumps. Also, they all wore floral crowns, fully completing the boho look! Also, her maid of honor wore a blue Stella McCartney dress.

The details of the British fashion model and rock star Jamie Hince were equally magnificent. The groom showed up in a splendid powdered blue Saint Laurent suit to complement the fashion aesthetics of the day. This celebrity dream wedding decor was the epitome of Gatsby style and rock and roll bohemian aesthetic but relaxed and toned down, all planned and realized by Sam Gainsbury. And how do we know? Well, the world-famous fashion photographer Mario Testino was hired to document the day from start to end!

Malin Akerman opted for a colorful romantic blush hue gown designed by Cushnie to amplify the free-spirited theme of her celebrity dream wedding ceremony. She wanted color because this second time, Malin wanted to do things her own way and differently. We love how her off-shoulder dress elements and her bouquet of pampas grass and flowers added that perfect bohemian touch to the dress! Did we mention that they were both barefoot? All the laid-back boho feels! Plus, it is super convenient for a beach ceremony. The groom also looked strikingly handsome in a Paul Smith Design suit paired up with a John Varvatos shirt. Their bridal party were their siblings and Malin’s son, which had complete outfit-choosing freedom. We love how her son was all in white with an adorable fedora! Such a wonderful idea for a modern bohemian wedding.
