Now that spring is approaching my imagination has me tucked away under a tree sipping on a tasty cocktail in my rose garden. This made me think about what rose water might taste like in a cocktail? well I tried it ! and it's pretty damn tasty, and only if its mixed with the right ingredients. I found the perfect recipe worth trying. It's not only delicious its also a pretty pink color and absolutely perfect when garnished with violet florals as seen in the picture. It looks so romantic, tastes like spring and fits perfectly into an outdoor garden wedding reception cocktail menu or bridesmaid brunch. Cheers! enjoy xx

Rose Water Cointreau Fizz

photo and recipe via: a pair and a square

  • 30 ml of Cointreau

  • A teaspoon of rose water

  • Soda water

  • Two teaspoons of raspberry juice

  • Lime Juice

  • Garnish with violet mini statice flowers clipped to pegs

For the raspberry juice, we simply squashed some raspberries and used the liquid.

How to:

1. Fill your glass with ice.

3. Add the Cointreau, rose water, raspberry juice and lime juice.

4. Muddle/mix with a spoon.

5 . Top with soda water.

For all you flower addicts out there, I think this cocktail would be just as delicious with orange blossom water or lavender essence instead of the rosewater.
